- I bet they had Chat Rooms on Genie. Right? Perhaps you might be
- interested in some of the IRCs on the "real" Internet. They perform about
- the same function. Newsgroups serve a somewhat different purpose, with a
- decidedly different etiquette. Read a few dozen messages in a newsgroup
- to get the gist of it before posting. Personal introductions are rare in
- technical groups, such as this.
